Disability Case Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Disability Case Manager to join our team at Canada Life.
This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and has strong analytical skills to effectively manage disability claims.
The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating medical information and job duties, developing case management plans, and negotiating with employers to facilitate return-to-work programs.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor's degree or college diploma in a relevant field, such as Kinesiology, Disability Management, or Social Work. You will also possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong planning and organizational abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
You will have experience working with disability insurance, life and health insurance, or human resources, and be proficient in both French and English languages. A background in rehabilitation consulting, occupational therapy, or massage therapy would be an asset.
Your Responsibilities
- Evaluate medical information and job duties to determine the length of disability
- Develop and implement case management plans to facilitate return-to-work programs
- Negotiate with employers to ensure compliance with service level agreements
- Respond to inquiries from applicants, physicians, and lawyers regarding claim assessments
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in a relevant field
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong planning, organizational, and analytical abilities
- Proficiency in French and English languages
- Experience working with disability insurance, life and health insurance, or human resources
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience, plus benefits including health, dental, and vision coverage, a pension plan, life insurance, and education reimbursement. Our offices are centrally located with easy access to public transportation.
