Empire Life is a medium-sized Canadian company in a stable industry that is rapidly transforming. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Group Product & Marketing team.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the development and growth of our Group Retirement Savings line of business. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of work experience in product management, plan design, or a related field within the Group Retirement Savings space.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage all facets of the group retirement savings business with a focus on plan design and product launch
  • Develop and present product proposals and cost-benefit business cases to senior management
  • Support sales and market development opportunities including sales strategies, presentations, marketing materials, and pitch decks
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A deep understanding of the Group Retirement Savings landscape and competitive offerings
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including profitability analysis, pricing recommendations, and ongoing business KPIs/metrics
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex subject matter clearly and succinctly
  • A customer-centric orientation, with a strong understanding of marketing, customer needs assessment, and targeting
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to wear multiple hats and roll up sleeves to do detailed work
