Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a tenure-track position as a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Community-based Entrepreneurship and Innovation. This prestigious appointment is part of the Canada Research Chair Program, a national strategy to enhance Canada's position in research and development.
About the PositionWe seek an exceptional emerging scholar with a strong research program examining the role of community-based entrepreneurship and innovation in sustainable economic and societal growth, particularly in rural, remote, and Indigenous areas in Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will lead a research program that integrates collaborations with communities to advance impactful entrepreneurship research.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead a world-leading research program in community-based entrepreneurship and innovation
- Establish a robust graduate program in community-based business studies
- Collaborate with communities to advance impactful entrepreneurship research
- Contribute to the Business Research Integration Group at Edwards, or BRIDGE, which facilitates connections between researchers, industry, and community partners
Candidates must hold or be near completion of a doctoral degree in entrepreneurship, management, or a relevant field and demonstrate potential for excellence, creativity, and leadership in research. Tier 2 Chairs are intended for exceptional emerging scholars, and maternity leave will be considered when reviewing the candidate's record of research achievement.
What We OfferThe successful applicant will be appointed as a tenure-track or tenured faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Edwards School of Business and will be nominated for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair.
