Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Community-based Entrepreneurship and Innovation

We are seeking a talented researcher to join our faculty as a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Community-based Entrepreneurship and Innovation. This prestigious appointment will provide an opportunity for an emerging scholar to establish a world-leading research program and contribute to the development of a robust graduate program in community-based business studies.
About the PositionThe successful candidate will lead a research program examining the role of community-based entrepreneurship and innovation in sustainable economic and societal growth, particularly in rural, remote, and Indigenous areas in Saskatchewan. The Chair will have access to the Business Research Integration Group at Edwards, or BRIDGE, which facilitates connections between researchers, industry, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities- Establish a world-leading research program in community-based entrepreneurship and innovation
- Develop a robust graduate program in community-based business studies
- Lead entrepreneurial thought and action at the University of Saskatchewan, integrating collaborations with communities to advance impactful entrepreneurship research
- Collaborate with researchers at Edwards and other University of Saskatchewan faculties to advance research in community-based entrepreneurship and innovation
Candidates must hold or be near completion of a doctoral degree in entrepreneurship, management, or a relevant field and demonstrate potential for excellence, creativity, and leadership in research. Tier 2 Chairs are intended for exceptional emerging scholars (i.e., candidates must have less than 10 years of experience as an active researcher at the time of nomination).
What We OfferThe successful applicant will be appointed as a tenure-track or tenured faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Edwards School of Business and will be nominated for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair.
