Human Resources Coordinator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the recruitment and hiring functions, supporting health and safety programs, maintaining HR databases and files, and providing administrative assistance.
Main Responsibilities:- Full cycle recruitment process including job postings, advertising, screening, phone interviews, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, presenting job offers, and onboarding.
- Timely completion of accident/injury reporting to WSIB and support return-to-work procedures.
- Participation in JHSC meetings and attending workplace inspections as required.
- Maintenance and update of all HR files and records in accordance with relevant legislation and the Foundation's policies and procedures.
- Collaboration with Payroll on new hire administrations, terminations, and providing payroll records/changes in accordance with bi-weekly pay cycles.
- Maintenance and update of HRIS and training systems.
- Support of HR projects/initiatives as required.
- Promotion of employee recognition and retention through staff events and recognition programs.
- University Degree or College Diploma or Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management.
- 1-3 years of work experience in Human Resources.
- Familiarity with employment legislation and regulations (ESA, OHSA, Ontario Human Rights Code, AODA, etc.).
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with HRIS an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills with ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to deal with HR issues with discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese a definite asset.
The salary range for this position is approximately $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
