We are seeking a skilled Radiography Imaging Specialist to join our team at Waterloo Nuclear & Radiography.

About the Role

As a Radiography Imaging Specialist, you will perform a variety of standardized and complex exams using X-ray technology. Your responsibilities will include reviewing patient history, preparing patients for exams, explaining procedures, and obtaining diagnostic images.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform X-ray exams, both standardized and complex, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Review patient medical histories, prepare patients for exams, and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort and understanding.
  • Obtain diagnostic images using X-ray equipment, adhering to radiation safety protocols.
  • Assist with patient management, addressing any concerns or needs during exams.
Qualifications and Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Registration in good standing with the CMRTO (Canadian Medical Radiation Technologists Registry) and CAMRT (Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists).
  • Continuing education annually as required by the CMRTO.
  • Professional Liability Insurance is mandatory.
  • Experience working according to all regulations and ALARA principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with infection control requirements and procedures.
  • A degree from a recognized college/university program in Medical Radiation Technology.
  • 0-5 years of experience in radiography imaging.
Work Environment

This role requires working full-time/part-time, permanent hours, with an estimated salary range of $30-$45 per hour. Expected work hours are 36-40 per week, including occasional weekends as needed.
