Cold Foods Chef Job Description

Savoia is seeking a skilled Cold Foods Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
  • Create new recipes
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
  • Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
  • Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Requirements:
  • Cook Trade Certification
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
  • Cook Red Seal Certificate
  • Emergency First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
