Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Senior Human Capital Professional to join our team as a Strategic HR Advisor. Reporting directly to the Director, Compensation and HR Policies, you'll play a key role in developing, updating, and communicating HR policies for our office, distribution center, and corporate store employees.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Conducting market research to analyze working conditions
  2. Monitoring industry trends and legislative changes impacting human resources policies
  3. Collaborating with stakeholders to set priorities and timelines for HR policy updates
  4. Providing expert advice to lead working committees and present recommendations on HR policies
  5. Developing strategic plans to communicate and implement new policies in partnership with HR Systems, HR Solutions, and Payroll departments
  6. Creating and updating HR policies, as well as related communication materials
  7. Supporting the implementation of HR policies and business rules surrounding working conditions in our Dayforce HR system
  8. Maintaining relationships with internal and external partners
  9. Offering guidance and support to HR Business Partners and other HR team members on HR policy interpretation and application

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations, Business Administration (Human Resources Management option), Communications, or a relevant discipline
  • Minimum eight years' experience in human resources management, including at least three years in policy development, HR project management, HR communications, or change management (retail sector experience an asset)
  • Proven initiative, autonomy, and leadership skills
  • Able to lead work teams and present recommendations to senior management
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and French
