Job Title: Community Programmer

Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Director of Services, Associate Director of Services, Associate Regional Executive Director.

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Job Summary:

The Community Programmer is responsible for creating innovative community-based programs and developing programs for individuals served. This includes maintaining accurate records, adhering to rules and regulations, and implementing programs and services in accordance with basic waiver concepts such as individual choice and decision-making.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
  2. Work in a professional office environment and in the community.
  3. May require lifting up to 35 pounds, prolonged sitting and working at a computer, frequent bending, stooping, and stretching, and prolonged standing.
  4. Must wear hearing and eye protection in required areas, have ability to see objects/persons at a distance, see close work, hear conversations in quiet and noisy environments, determine where a sound is coming from, communicate through speech, drive and transport for service provision as needed, and remain awake during working hours.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Minimum 18 years of age.
  2. Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  3. Reliable transportation and personal auto liability insurance coverage $100,000/$300,000/$50,000.
  4. Background checks with previous employers, references, law enforcement agencies, and others will be conducted and found satisfactory.
  5. Valid driver's license and driver's record deemed acceptable by Imagine the Possibilities, Inc.
