We are seeking a highly skilled Global VP of Communications to lead and shape our company's communication strategies on a global scale. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of public relations, media relations, internal communications, crisis management, and corporate messaging. As the Global VP of Communications, you will be responsible for the development and supervision of all communications strategies for the company.
Your responsibilities as a Global VP Communications at Fix Network:
- Oversee the creation of executive speeches, presentations, and other high-level communications.
- Develop and implement an integrated strategic communications plan to advance Fix Network and all its business units' brand identities; broaden positive awareness and increase the visibility of all brands across key stakeholder audiences.
- Initiate research, development, and implementation of new communications programs that include performance goals and measurable KPIs.
- Enhance and guide a public relations strategy that will allow leadership to cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences, including media and strategic partner groups.
- Identify challenges and emerging issues faced by the organization. Work with leadership and staff to recognize internal and external communications opportunities and solutions and define and execute appropriate strategies to support them.
Communications Operations
- Engage in and oversee development of varying owned, earned and paid media including print collateral, electronic communications, websites, social channels and new media, and manage relationships with associated internal cross-functional teams and external agencies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify communications needs and deliver timely and effective communications solutions.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on competitor activities; make recommendations based on findings/opportunities discovered.
Team Development/Management
- Work with designers, writers, editors and other creative staff to produce communications materials in accordance with key messages.
- Manage a communications team to support the development and execution of the communications strategy.
- Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
- Work closely with the agency to create a comprehensive digital strategy that includes SEO, social media, and other relevant channels.
The perfect candidate we are looking for:
- Bachelor/Master's degree in Journalism, Communications or related field.
- 5 - 10 years of work experience leading a team in the private sector including the direction and oversight of corporate communications and public relations activities.
- Extensive successful writing and editing experience for a variety of traditional and digital media.
- Excellent understanding and familiarity with brand building and brand management.
- Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs.
- Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
- Experience in building, mentoring, and coaching a team of communications specialists.
- Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills; public speaking experience along with hosting/directing of events and meetings is favored.
- English language written and verbal proficiency is a must; French written and verbal beneficial.
