At Community Living Burlington, we are seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a Social Capital Development Specialist.
Estimated Salary:$65,000 - $75,000 per annum

About the RoleWe are looking for someone who has a passion for problem-solving, enjoys working with a creative and diverse group of people, and can establish and implement the social capital framework of assessing social capital among individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Bachelor degree or related degree
- A minimum of 2 years related experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and/or complex needs
The ideal candidate will possess strong assessment, planning, priority setting, and problem-solving skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases. They will also have a valid Class "G" Driver's License and use of vehicle to make community visits.
As a Social Capital Development Specialist, you will be responsible for developing a specialized measurement tool that is effective and user-friendly for all staff and individuals supported. This will provide insight into the existing social networks, relationships, and community engagement levels of people who have a developmental disability.
Key Responsibilities- Create a baseline data report and quarterly reporting to establish benchmarks allowing data to drive future programming and services
- Develop a pilot group to identify areas where individuals may be lacking in social connections and implement lasting solutions
- Educate and teach the essentials for fostering a deeper understanding of how social networks/connections impact the quality of life of the people we support
You will be skilled and responsible to teach the implementation of social capital theory to all employees. Your goal will be to help people build stronger connections and a deeper sense of belonging in their community.
