Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team at CancerCare Manitoba. As a key member of our BreastCheck program, you will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography procedures using digital imaging equipment
  • Position and compress patients to ensure accurate and high-quality images
  • Operate RIS, PACS, and EMR systems to manage patient information and imaging results
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and patient care
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of imaging quality
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiological Technology education program
  • Successful completion of Breast Imaging 1 and Breast Imaging 2 CAMRT courses
  • Member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists - Manitoba (CAMRT-MB)
  • Compliant with Canadian Association of Radiology (CAR) continuing education requirements for Mammography Technologists
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in working in a Digital Imaging department using RIS, PACS, and EMR systems
  • Valid Manitoba Driver's License and ability to travel to communities across Manitoba
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and evenings
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous mammography experience
  • Knowledge of Population Health and Screening Programs
  • Experience using Maxon BSP and PenRad
