Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Shieldco Consulting Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Supervise and train specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events and banquets.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a senior culinary role.
  • Safe Food Handling certificate and Cook Red Seal Certificate.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation.
