Job Overview

TC Transcontinental is seeking a highly skilled Director, Retail Services and Sales to lead and execute a strategy to drive sales growth in the Canadian retail marketing industry.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute multi-channel retail marketing strategies that support all lines of business.
  2. Build short and long-term sales forecasts for budgeting and long-term growth projections.
  3. Lead negotiation and contract renewals with key and strategic customers.
  4. Monitor sales performance against targets and take corrective steps to meet or exceed sales targets.
  5. Plan, control, and direct the activities of the sales team to obtain sales volume, growth, and contribution targets.
  6. Develop sales teams through effective coaching, engagement, training, and succession planning.
  7. Achieve and maintain strong team performance by managing against key performance indicators (KPIs) and addressing gaps effectively.
  8. Oversee the development of detailed account plans for key targets and current customers.
  9. Develop strong relationships at strategic customer accounts to facilitate win-win outcomes.
  10. Provide updates and reports to senior management, along with identified actions for improving or growing the business.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
  2. Minimum of 8 years progressive experience in retail marketing strongly preferred.
  3. Knowledge of the retail marketing industry, knowledge of Sales Force, experience in retail marketing, management experience.
  4. Strong skills in leading and developing a sales team.
  5. Strong customer focus and drive for results.
  6. Strong negotiation and influence skills.
  7. Ability to set and articulate vision and purpose in a way that inspires the team to perform.
