We are currently looking for a Director – Retail Services and Sales who will be responsible for building and executing a strategy to drive sales growth in the Canadian retail marketing industry.

The position is responsible for leading and building an exceptional sales team comprised of 10 people focused on driving profitable growth with key retail accounts. The office is located in Vaughan and will be on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute multi-channel retail marketing strategies that support all lines of business.
  • Build short and long-term sales forecasts for budgeting and long-term growth projections.
  • Lead negotiation and contract renewals with key and strategic customers.
  • Monitor sales performance against targets and take corrective steps to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Plan, control, and direct the activities of the sales team to obtain sales volume, growth, and contribution targets.
  • Develop sales teams through effective coaching, engagement, training, and succession planning.
  • Achieve and maintain strong team performance by managing against key performance indicators and addressing gaps effectively.
  • Oversee the development of detailed account plans for key targets and current customers. Provide input as needed to the sales team when obstacles or issues are encountered.
  • Develop strong relationships at strategic customer accounts to facilitate win-win outcomes.
  • Provide updates and reports to senior management, along with identified actions for improving or growing the business.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
  • Minimum of 8 years progressive experience in retail marketing strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the retail marketing industry, knowledge of Sales Force, experience in retail marketing, management experience.
  • Strong skills in leading and developing a sales team.
  • Strong customer focus and drive for results.
  • Strong negotiation and influence skills.
  • Ability to set and articulate vision and purpose in a way that inspires the team to perform.
