About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator to join our team at GAV MGMT. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in creating accurate and timely quotes that meet the needs of our clients while ensuring profitability for our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quote Creation: Develop detailed and cost-effective quotes for audio visual installations, taking into account architectural plans and specifications.
  • Material Breakdown: Establish take offs and material breakdown sheets to determine the type and quantity of materials required for each project.
  • Quote Formulation: Prepare quote packages using standard company pricing, discounts, estimating formulas, and guidelines.
  • Quote Revisions: Process revisions and change orders as required, ensuring timely completion of quotes.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with external and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation to support quotes.
  • Cost Savings Initiatives: Identify opportunities to improve quote efficiency and profitability.
Requirements
  • Experience: One or more years of experience in the A/V field, preferably in installation or field-engineering capacity.
  • Education: Post-secondary education in Architectural Technology, Construction Estimator, or related field.
  • Estimating Experience: One to three years of estimating experience.
  • Skills: Proficient in estimating software, tools, and MS Excel, with a working knowledge of other MS Office programs.
  • Personal Qualities: Self-starter, results-oriented, and detail-focused, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Working Conditions

This is a hybrid role, with a mix of home and office work. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
