Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at GAV MGMT. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for creating accurate and timely quotes that meet the needs of our customers while being profitable for the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze architectural plans and specifications to determine the type and quantity of materials required for audio video installations.
  • Establish take offs and material breakdown sheets to ensure accurate quotes.
  • Formulate detailed quotes for project design materials, using knowledge of standard company pricing, discounts, and estimating formulas.
  • Process revisions and change orders as required, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
  • Verify feasibility of special conditions with various departments and recommend cost-effective and profitable quoting strategies.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation to support quotes and communicate with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with the Drafting Team and Project Management team to ensure accurate quotes and efficient project execution.
Requirements
  • One or more years of experience in the A/V field in an installation or field-engineering capacity.
  • A post-secondary education in Architectural Technology, Construction Estimation, or a related field.
  • One to three years of estimating experience and proficiency with estimating software, tools, and MS Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience reading architectural designs, schedules, and take offs.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

This is a hybrid home and office position with a regular 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime and weekend work.
