We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at GAV MGMT. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for creating accurate and timely quotes for audio video installations. Your expertise will help us deliver cost-effective solutions to our customers while ensuring profitability for the business.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze architectural plans and specifications to determine the type and quantity of materials required for quotes.
- Establish take offs and material breakdown sheets to ensure accurate quotes.
- Formulate detailed quotes for project design materials, using your knowledge of standard company pricing, discounts, and estimating formulas.
- Process revisions and change orders as required, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
- Verify feasibility of special conditions with various departments and recommend cost-effective and profitable solutions.
- Prepare and maintain documentation to support quotes and communicate with external and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with the Drafting Team and Project Management team to ensure accurate quotes and project deadlines.
- One or more years of experience in the A/V field in an installation or field-engineering capacity.
- A post-secondary education in Architectural Technology, Construction Estimator, or related field.
- One to three years of estimating experience and proficiency with estimating software and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with clients, team members, and contractors.
This is a hybrid home and office role with a regular 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday. Overtime and weekend availability may be required.
