About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator to join our team at GAV MGMT. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in creating accurate and timely quotes that meet the needs of our clients while ensuring profitability for our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quote Creation: Develop detailed and cost-effective quotes for audio visual installations, taking into account architectural plans, specifications, and company pricing guidelines.
  • Material Breakdown: Establish take offs and material breakdown sheets to determine the type and quantity of materials required for each project.
  • Quote Package Preparation: Prepare quote packages using your knowledge of standard company pricing, discounts, estimating formulas, and guidelines.
  • Revision and Change Management: Process revisions and change orders as required, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
  • Feasibility Analysis: Verify the feasibility of special conditions with various departments and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation to support quotes and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve quoting processes and recommend innovative ideas to increase profitability.
Requirements
  • Experience: One or more years of experience in the A/V field, with a focus on installation or field engineering.
  • Education: Post-secondary education in Architectural Technology, Construction Estimator, or a related field.
  • Estimating Experience: One to three years of estimating experience, with a proven track record of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Skills: Proficient in estimating software, tools, and MS Excel, with a working knowledge of other MS Office programs.
  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, team members, and contractors.
Working Conditions

This is a hybrid role, with a combination of home and office work. You will be required to work a standard 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime and weekend availability.
