About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to join our team at Home Instead Senior Care - Toronto Central. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to seniors in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities such as conversation, reading, and watching movies.
  • Light Housekeeping: Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
  • Medication Reminders: Assist clients with taking their medications as prescribed.
  • Transportation: Accompany clients on outings and errands, such as grocery shopping and doctor's appointments.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and a compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
Work Environment

As a Home Care Worker with Home Instead Senior Care - Toronto Central, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including clients' homes and community centers. You will be required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of our clients.
