Job Summary

Chubb is seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Technician to join our team. As a Fire Protection Technician, you will be responsible for independently performing quality work and recommending improvements to ensure customer satisfaction is met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fire Alarm System Testing and Commissioning: Test and commission fire alarm systems to ensure building occupancy can be taken.
  • Report Generation: Complete various reports and documents related to the work performed.
  • Inspections and Verifications: Complete inspections of fire alarm systems as per Can/ULC S536 and verifications as per Can/ULC S537.
  • Fire Extinguisher and Emergency Lighting Inspections: Complete fire extinguisher inspections as per NFPA-10 and emergency lighting inspections as per the local authority having jurisdiction.
  • Customer Communication: Communicate with the customer and determine the nature of the problem or trouble with the fire alarm system.
  • On-Call Rotation: Participate in on-call rotation and be available for after-hours and weekend work.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in the electronics field or a related discipline and 2+ years of experience servicing fire alarm systems.
  • Certifications: Valid C.F.A.A certification and valid Provincial Driver's License.
  • Security Clearance: Eligible to meet requirements for a Federal Security Clearance (Reliability/Secret).
