Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Waste Management Assistant. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and food-safe packaging area, monitoring the front of the warehouse, and assisting with line changeovers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized packaging area
  2. Monitor the front of the warehouse and maintain uninterrupted operational flow
  3. Assist with line changeovers and emptying and removing empty bins and trays
  4. Dispose of used cardboard, garbage, and plastic waste from the packaging area
  5. Keep the produce staging organized and maintain first-in, first-out (FIFO) inventory

Requirements:

  1. 1+ years of experience in a food prep, restaurant, warehouse, or busy retail environment
  2. Ability to work in a high-paced warehouse environment with strict deadlines
  3. Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment (0-10°C)
  4. Extremely proficient at multi-tasking and detail-oriented
  5. Able to stand on your feet for 8-hour shifts and lift objects up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
  6. Punctual attendance is essential
