Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Sales Strategist to join our team in Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating revenue growth by utilizing a consultative selling approach in the retention of current customers. This role involves managing existing business relationships to achieve budgeted sales goals, developing and implementing sound retention strategies, and securing contract agreements from previously non-contracted customers.

This is a work-from-home role that requires travel across Calgary Area. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the construction industry and local market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing business-to-business sales relationships
  • Developing detailed proposals encompassing multiple services
  • Researching aspects of the waste and environmental services business
  • Attending conferences and networking events to stay current with industry-and market-related information
  • Assignment management
  • Building trusting relationships with customers
  • Providing high-impact communication and presenting customized solutions
  • Able to identify pertinent Local, County, State, and/or Federal government regulations
  • Responsible for prospecting and closing to achieve budgeted sales goals
  • Manage prospects by developing sound marketing plans and maintaining key information in the prospect database
  • Reduces lost major accounts by diffusing cancellation requests
  • Matches Waste Management services with customer needs by demonstrating knowledge of customers, pricing and competition

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or equivalent experience in direct business-to-business sales
  • 1 year work experience in phone-based business-to-business prospecting resulting in successfully obtaining customer appointments
  • Ability to convert customer cancellation requests in order to maintain revenue levels

Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on experience
