Job Description
We invite applications for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Community-based Kinesiology and Physical Literacy. This esteemed position requires an emerging researcher to explore the affective, physical, cognitive, and behavioural elements of physical literacy across the lifespan, examining how community, sport, and culture intersect to promote or stifle health and wellness.
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of peer-reviewed publications and external research funding, with potential for developing new areas of collaborative research. The Chair will participate in academic programs, teaching undergraduate or graduate courses, and lead research and scholarly activity.

- Demonstrated leadership skills and collaborative research experience in community-based kinesiology and physical literacy
- Strong research excellence with a proven record of attracting and mentoring research trainees
- Potential to achieve international recognition in their field within the next five to ten years
- Original, innovative research program of high quality
Benefits
- A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
- 75% dedication to research and 25% towards teaching (equivalent to 2 courses annually)
