Job Summary:

The Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing assessment and consultative services to support students with communication delays or disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment and consultative services to support a varied caseload of students with communication delays or disorders.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans for students.
  • Provide clinical supervision to support personnel who provide direct intervention to students.
  • Develop and present in-services for teaching and support staff on topics related to communication and language development.

Requirements:

  • Current Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
  • Experience working in an educational setting.
  • Experience using a collaborative consultation service delivery model.
  • Experience in Augmentative/Alternative Communication (AAC).
  • Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
  • Experience in using Social Thinking concepts and programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License and own reliable transportation.
