We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Technical Writer to join our team at Peninsula Canada. As a Health and Safety Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our advisors, field consultants, and clients by creating high-quality technical content that is easy to understand and compliant with legislative and best practice requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and update technical documentation and programs to ensure they are relevant, concise, and compliant with legislation and standards across all Canadian jurisdictions.
- Develop and create engaging content for publishing in company health and safety materials, including policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Conduct research and project work to support the development of policies, programs, and training materials, with a focus on project management and attainment of timelines and KPIs.
- Collaborate with the OHS team to complete departmental objectives and priorities, and contribute to the development of a comprehensive health and safety program.
- Utilize technical content and expertise from within the Group, as well as perform deep research to ensure accuracy and relevance of content.
- A degree or diploma from an accredited college or university.
- Experience in conducting thorough research and creating high-quality technical content.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A high degree of inquisitiveness and independence in conducting research, with an eye for detail and ability to work a brand narrative.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
