Lumentum, a leading provider of optical solutions, is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the development and launch of its Optical Sensor and Solutions portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for optical sensors and solutions targeting dimensional metrology applications in the automotive and automation manufacturing industries.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and growth opportunities, including TAM, SAM, and SOM.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure the successful development and launch of products.
  • Define product requirements, specifications, and performance criteria based on customer and market needs.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with key customers and industry stakeholders to gather feedback, build relationships, and drive product adoption.
  • Develop and deliver product training, sales tools, and marketing collateral to support the sales and marketing teams.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize product features, pricing, and positioning.
  • Act as the product champion within the organization, effectively communicating product vision, strategy, and performance to senior management and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or a related technical field. Advanced degree preferred. MBA would be considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with a focus on optical sensors or related technologies used for dimensional metrology.
  • Strong understanding of dimensional metrology applications and technologies in the automotive and automation manufacturing industries.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing products from concept to market.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with market research, competitive analysis, and business case development.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
