Strategic Marketing Director

The University of Lethbridge is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Marketing Director to join our team. As a key member of our Communications, Marketing and Government Relations department, you will play a critical role in shaping the university's brand and marketing strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive marketing plans that align with the university's strategic directions and goals.
- Lead the Marketing Team: Provide leadership and guidance to the marketing team, including the design and digital communications unit.
- Brand Management: Develop and maintain the university's brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels.
- Market Intelligence and Analysis: Utilize market research and data to inform marketing decisions and measure campaign effectiveness.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor team members, providing opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and maximizing return on investment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including academic departments, recruitment and retention professionals, and external partners.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications; master's degree considered an asset.
- Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of management experience in marketing, with a proven track record of success in the field.
- Skills: Proven ability to develop institutional marketing strategy, conceptualize and implement successful marketing campaigns, and lead a team to achieve goals and objectives.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of digital marketing, web publishing, SEO/SEM, mobile marketing, and analytics; experience with CRMs and project management software.
The University of Lethbridge offers a competitive salary range of $94,118.69 to $143,318.06 annually, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
