Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Communications, Marketing, and Government Relations (CMGR), this role involves leading a dynamic team of marketing professionals and collaborating with creative designers and digital experts to implement initiatives that enhance the University’s visibility and support critical functions such as student recruitment, retention, research reputation, philanthropy, and community outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Marketing Leadership: Drive the development and execution of innovative marketing strategies that elevate the University’s brand and reputation, particularly in targeted markets.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor the marketing team, ensuring alignment with the University’s strategic goals and fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
- Brand Development: Oversee the creation and refinement of brand guidelines, ensuring consistent communication of the University’s identity across all platforms.
- Market Analysis: Utilize market intelligence and data analytics to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
- Budget Oversight: Manage the marketing budget effectively to maximize return on investment and ensure resource efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to support their marketing needs and promote the University’s objectives.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Seven to ten years of experience in a marketing leadership role, ideally within a higher education or large organizational context.
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and foster collaboration.
- Expertise in digital marketing, content creation, and analytics.
