About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscape Supervisor to join our team at Lawn 'N' Order. As a key member of our outdoor operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and maintenance of our landscaping projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement project plans, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
    • Oversee the installation of trees, gardens, and lawns, ensuring high-quality results and timely completion.
  • Team Management
    • Lead and supervise a team of landscape technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure excellent work quality and productivity.
    • Hire, train, and schedule staff as needed to meet project demands.
  • Operations and Maintenance
    • Plan and direct grounds maintenance, including mowing, pruning, and fertilizing.
    • Organize and direct construction of decks, decorative walls, and other outdoor features.
    • Manage and maintain equipment, including backhoes, chain saws, and tractors.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Conduct regular site visits to ensure projects meet quality standards and are completed on time.
    • Identify and address any issues or concerns, providing technical advice and guidance to team members.
  • Business Development and Administration
    • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
    • Manage budgets, invoices, and other financial aspects of projects.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College diploma or equivalent in a related field (e.g., horticulture, landscape architecture).
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in landscaping or a related field, with a focus on supervisory or management roles.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) certification.
    • Provincial license/certification to apply chemical fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, and pesticides.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and heavy workloads.
    • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in outdoor conditions.
