About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at Lawn 'N' Order. As a key member of our outdoor spaces team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and maintenance of our clients' outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Plan and direct the installation of trees, gardens, and lawns, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
  • Client Communication: Provide technical advice and guidance to clients to increase the value and functionality of their outdoor spaces.
  • Operations Management: Organize and direct the construction of decks, decorative or retaining walls, and other outdoor features.
  • Quality Control: Maintain work records and logs to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Contract Management: Tender and administer contracts with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies to support project execution.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in landscaping or a related field.
  • Certifications: Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) certification and provincial licence/certification to apply chemical fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, and pesticides.
  • Equipment Experience: Experience with backhoe, chain saw, front end loader, pick-up truck, small engine equipment, sod cutter, tractor, and skidsteer.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's licence and ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and maintain a physically demanding schedule.
