Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at The BC Muslim Association. In this role, you will provide administrative support to our staff and management, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Responsibilities
  • Office Administration: Provide general administrative support, including typing, proofreading, and preparing documents, reports, and other materials.
  • Communication: Receive and forward telephone and electronic enquiries, send and receive messages, and maintain accurate records.
  • Data Entry: Enter data into databases and spreadsheets, and perform other data-related tasks as required.
  • File Management: File material in storage areas, label files according to retention and disposal schedules, and locate and remove files requested by staff.
  • Scheduling: Organize and schedule office work, ensure that tasks are completed on time, and make travel arrangements as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Work Experience: Full-time enrollment in an educational program or relevant work experience.
  • Languages: English is the primary language used in this role.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working on-site at our office location. You must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and have excellent communication skills.

Compensation

The salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
