Senior IT Audit Role

City National Bank (CNB), a subsidiary of RBC, is seeking a Senior Director to lead the IT audit function. As an RBC employee based in Vancouver, you will provide independent assurance over CNB's IT risk management practices and governance processes.

This role involves facilitating audit execution relating to IT applications and platforms, including leading and executing audits with an impact on CNB. You will also assist in developing and implementing an Information Technology data analytics strategy that delivers key insights to management and supporting functions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan, lead, and execute the annual Audit Plan for CNB Platform IT audit universe, ensuring compliance with local and global regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze and test technology application and system infrastructure controls, including those over data accuracy, systems development, and application security.
  • Collaborate with business and function audit counterparts during integrated audits to ensure sufficient IT audit coverage.
  • Makes recommendations to clients on control deficiencies and ensures significant deficiencies are corrected.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years of IT audit experience or related experience.
  • Deep understanding of IT application or program controls, network devices, and firewalls, and knowledgeable in COBIT.
  • Experience in using data analytics, visualization, and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau).
  • CISSP, CIA, CISM, CISA, or CISM designation.
