This role is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Administrative Human Resource Specialist, supporting the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design.


About the Role:



  • Provide administrative support to the Dean and academic administrators on matters related to tenure stream, non-tenure stream, and teaching stream faculty.
  • Review, advise, and prepare correspondence on behalf of the Dean in matters relating to the employment of academic staff.
  • Interpret and advise on HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate the academic salary administration process, including PTR calculations.
  • Manage databases related to academic activities and prepare complex statistical reports.

About You:



  • Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years of recent and related administrative experience in a University setting.
  • Advanced academic HR-related knowledge, including related university policies and procedures and an understanding of the University's organizational structure.
  • Demonstrated project management experience in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Solid understanding of workplace equity and diversity issues.
  • Strong research, writing, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • A competitive salary range of $82,083 - $95,762 per annum.
  • A full-time appointment with a term duration from date of hire to June 19, 2026.
