Human Resources Systems and Projects Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Systems and Projects Specialist to join our team at Great Canadian Entertainment. As a key member of our Shared Services Human Resources team, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day operational support and troubleshooting for our Human Capital Management System (HCMS), Oracle HCM Cloud, branded internally as CONNECT.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the subject matter expert and functional lead for the company's Core HR, Absence, Recruitment, Onboarding, and Talent modules.
- Maintain user security, including setting up access and areas of responsibility for site HR and administrative roles for users within Shared Services and IT.
- Provide daily operational support and issue resolution for end-users and the company's site HR and Operations teams, escalating technical issues to technical support teams and following issues through to resolution.
- Prepare and maintain CONNECT department administration manuals and end-user documentation as it relates to assigned modules.
- Educate users on CONNECT and facilitate end-user training.
- Work with applicable stakeholders and Systems & Projects team to implement and establish system workflows and functionality, collect business requirements, perform gap analysis, conduct testing, and analyze results to determine system requirements for ongoing enhancement of the CONNECT system and for future project phases.
- Responsible for and assists with quarterly releases impacting assigned modules of CONNECT, including reviewing Oracle's documentation and analyzing requirements, preparing and performing test cases for new features, updating documentation, and providing training.
- Audit and monitor data integrity within CONNECT and run reports to understand trends and areas for improvement.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field or suitable combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources or Operations, including a focus on project-based or systems work.
- Experience with cloud-based HCM (specifically Oracle HCM Cloud) or other cloud Human Resource Management Systems an asset.
- Ability to assess business processes, conduct gap analysis, and propose system workflows.
- Experience creating and maintaining end-user documents and manuals.
- Driven self-starter, with a systems and project focus.
- Excellent attention to detail, along with strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical, enterprising, diplomatic, and proactive at solving problems.
- Commitment to working in a professional, results-driven, collaborative team environment.
- Able to work independently and as part of a diverse, high-performing team.
