About the Role

The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Administration (DOA) of Medicine and have a dotted line to the CHILD Study Director. They will be responsible for providing management support to the CHILD Scientific Directors and CHILD Executive Committee, driving business model development, and overseeing human resource development and management of the NCC staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee operational structures that deliver on strategic visions
  • Collaborate with directors and executive committee members to develop implementation plans
  • Oversight of national coordinating center operational teams and matrixed teams involved in cohort study functions
  • IDentify and develop applications for infrastructure and operational funding
  • Build trusted relationships with industry leaders and subject matter experts
Fiscal Management
  • Develop, manage, and oversee budgets for research studies
  • Support budget development, management, and control for investigators/directors/managers
  • In collaboration with the study director and research office, develop funding sub-agreements with institutions participating in data collection
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of two years of research management experience, preferably in a research environment with national scope, along with seven to ten years of clinical research experience. An MBA or Master's in Health Administration would be an asset. Additionally, you should have training in Gender-based Analysis Plus (GBA+) and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion principles applied to research.

You will be required to demonstrate excellence in creative problem-solving, championing change, driving results, budget development, supervisory experience, and proficiency in electronic communications. Proven skill in relationship management and achieving results using a collaborative approach is also essential.

A significant related experience in a senior setting with strategic planning, decision-making, and financial analysis responsibility is required. You should be proficient in MS Office, statistical analysis software, citation management software, and web conferencing.
