Desktop Support Level 2 Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Level 2 professional to join our team at PeopleToGo. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hardware Deployment: Perform intermediate IMAC activities, including hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and other deployment-related activities on PCs, laptops, printers, and other devices.
  • Software Installation and Support: Handle software installation, support, and upgrades to ensure seamless operation of our systems.
  • Deskside Support: Provide technical assistance with hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal downtime.
  • Help Desk Support: Offer first-level support to our clients, addressing their technical queries and concerns.
  • Network Support: Perform basic LAN and internetworking activities to maintain our network infrastructure.
  • Bench Repairs and Maintenance: Handle bench repairs and remedial maintenance to ensure our equipment is in optimal working condition.
  • Call Management: Respond to, update, and close calls from our National Dispatch/Call Management Center.
  • Customer Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to diagnose issues, establish ETA, and determine parts requirements.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of field service experience in hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and deployment-related activities.
  • Deskside Support Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in deskside support.
  • Internetworking and Troubleshooting Skills: Strong skills in internetworking and troubleshooting.
  • Certifications: A+ certification and potentially other vendor certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, and OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP).
  • Soft Skills: Self-motivation, ability to manage multiple tasks, exceptional customer service skills, good communication skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
