Administrative Coordinator for Academic Affairs

About the Role:
The University of Toronto seeks a highly skilled and organized Administrative Coordinator for Academic Affairs to join its team. This key position will provide advanced administrative support to the academic administration of a department, coordinating all activities associated with academic processes such as faculty recruitment, reviews, tenure, and promotion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the recruitment of teaching assistants, course instructors, sessional lecturers, and stipend instructors.
- Apply established standards when administering academic search, tenure, and promotion activities.
- Liaise with senior leaders to coordinate and administer changes to faculty employment status.
- Assess, revise, and follow processes that support academic and administrative activities for the department.
Requirements:
- Advanced College Diploma and/or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years recent and related senior administrative/executive assistance experience in a busy academic or professional work environment.
- Experience providing senior level administrative support, including administering a busy calendar, preparing and monitoring cyclical schedules, making travel and hotel arrangements, and ensuring the administrative processes of a busy work environment function efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the University of Toronto policies and the Academic Administrative Procedures Manual.
- Experience working with committees, taking minutes, and preparing written documents from minutes and/or notes.

A competitive salary range of $75,223 to $96,196, with an annual step progression, and a comprehensive benefits package.
