Division Head, Neonatology

As a key academic leader, you will be responsible for advancing the disciplines of the Neonatology Program at the University of Toronto. This role offers a unique opportunity to champion clinical services, education, and research discoveries, ensuring alignment with the Temerty Faculty of Medicine.

The Division of Neonatology is a world-renowned center for innovative research and clinical care. As Division Head, you will oversee a comprehensive and accredited subspecialty residency program, as well as six fellowship programs, including Neonatal Neurology and Neonatal/Paediatric Transport.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Neonatology Program and ensuring its alignment with the Temerty Faculty of Medicine
  • Championing clinical services, education, and research discoveries
  • Overseeing the Division's research initiatives and collaborations with the Research Institute
  • Mentoring and supporting faculty and trainees
  • Collaborating with allied health and nursing partners

The successful candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto and will receive a competitive salary and benefits package. A leadership stipend may also be available.

Requirements include:

  • Leadership and mentoring experience in neonatology
  • Academic and research excellence in the field of neonatology
  • Vision for child and youth health
  • Eligibility for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or comparable qualifications
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
