About the Opportunity

The Department of Medicine at St. Michael's Hospital, in conjunction with the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, is seeking two qualified full-time academic Rheumatologists. The candidate will have an academic position description of Clinician Teacher (CT) or Clinician in Quality and Innovation (CQI) and must be eligible for a Full-time Clinical Academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Toronto.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent clinical care in the outpatient setting and the inpatient consultation service.
  • Contribute to rheumatology on-call coverage.
  • Engage in rheumatology educational programs and learner supervision at all levels at St. Michael's Hospital and the University of Toronto.
  • Lead or collaborate in clinical research and quality improvement programs.

Requirements

  • Hold an MD degree.
  • Be eligible for certification in Rheumatology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
  • Have a proven academic record of excellence in education or quality improvement.

What We Offer

The successful candidate will report to the Head, Division of Rheumatology at St. Michael's Hospital. The Division of Rheumatology, composed of eight full-time academic rheumatologists, has an international reputation in clinical research, education, and quality improvement. Estimated remuneration will be commensurate with academic rank, qualifications, and experience of the candidate.
