Job Opportunity:

The Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto is seeking a qualified full-time academic Rheumatologist. The successful candidate will have an academic position description of Clinician Teacher (CT) or Clinician in Quality and Innovation (CQI) and must be eligible for a Full-time Clinical Academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Toronto.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent clinical care in the outpatient setting and the inpatient consultation service.
  • Contribute to rheumatology on-call coverage.
  • Engage in rheumatology educational programs and learner supervision at all levels.
  • Lead or collaborate in clinical research and quality improvement programs.

Requirements:

  • Hold an MD degree.
  • Be eligible for certification in Rheumatology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
  • Have a proven academic record of excellence in education or quality improvement.

The successful candidate will report to the Head, Division of Rheumatology at St. Michael's Hospital. The Division of Rheumatology has an international reputation in clinical research, education and quality improvement. Estimated remuneration will be commensurate with academic rank, qualifications and experience of the candidate.
