About the Role:

The University of Toronto is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Advisor to join its team. As a key member of the Operations and Real Estate Partnerships Division, this role will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and allocating budgets, as well as managing financial resources for the division's portfolio departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and analyze budgets, ensuring accurate financial planning and forecasting
  • Manage financial resources, including cash flow and financial reporting
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to department heads and other stakeholders
  • Conduct financial analysis and reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA, CA, CMA, CGA)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or a similar role
  • Experience with major ERP systems and financial software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
