The Manitoba Metis Federation (MMF) is seeking a skilled Program Officer to join our team in St. Laurent, MB.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced professional to develop and implement training and employment initiatives within our Métis Employment & Training Department.

About the Role:

  • Navigate industry connections and partnerships to foster collaborations that address labour market needs;
  • Engage with stakeholders to conceptualize and execute employment-focused projects tailored to community demands;
  • Assist clients, employers, and service providers in creating compelling proposals and applications;
  • Manage project finances by reviewing claims, reports, and budget allocations to ensure alignment with objectives;
  • Maintain continuous client progress monitoring, providing guidance and support for retention and success.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in social sciences, adult education, business administration, or management, along with at least 2 years of relevant work experience;
  • Ability to design, coordinate, and deliver employment-focused training programs;
  • Capacity to research labour market trends and identify training needs;
  • Experience in developing training proposals and analyzing financial data;
  • Understanding of basic accounting practices and experience working with financial statements;
  • Background in Indigenous community work and knowledge of Métis culture are assets;
  • Valid Manitoba driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
