The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) is a democratically elected national government representing the Red River Métis. As an integral part of our organization, we are seeking a highly skilled Education Director to join our team in Winnipeg, MB.

About the Role

This full-time position within our Early Learning and Child Care Department reports directly to the Senior Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, planning, directing, coordinating, and overseeing departmental activities to achieve established goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative, financial, and program management skills, with experience in leadership roles and early learning and childcare. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide regular updates to the Senior Director on departmental progress and performance.
  • Oversee overall administrative and financial management of the department, including budget creation and supervision of staff.
  • Promote inter-departmental collaboration on initiatives and events supporting Red River Métis children and families.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Several years' experience in a leadership role with emphasis on program management and operations.
  • Experience and knowledge in early learning and childcare is an asset.
  • Demonstrated organizational, financial, and administrative management skills.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of Red River Métis culture and MMF programs and services is an asset.
  • Ability to travel and valid Manitoba Driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle.
