The Manitoba Métis Federation is seeking qualified individuals to fill multiple full-time Early Childhood Educator positions at the Elbert Chartrand Childcare Centre.

As a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and nurturing learning environment that supports Métis-specific curriculum. Your primary responsibility will be to care for and educate children, while also assisting in delivering cultural programs and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and inclusive learning environment that promotes Métis culture and heritage;
  • Develop and implement effective educational programs that cater to diverse learning needs;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality services and support children's development;
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents appropriately;
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Required Qualifications:

  • ECE II/III Diploma or equivalent recognized training;
  • Minimum two years' experience as an Early Childhood Educator or relevant role with demonstrated ability to deliver programs and services;
  • Knowledge of Métis culture, heritage, and language an asset;
  • Valid 1st Aid/CPR Certification;
  • Circle of Security Certificate an asset;
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check, Criminal Record Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check;
  • Ability to travel and possess a valid Manitoba Driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle.

Benefits and Compensation:

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, pension, and vacation. The estimated salary for this position is approximately $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
