We are seeking an experienced Senior Title Insurance Business Development Manager to join our team at Stewart Title in Kelowna, British Columbia. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for growing our residential customer base in the Okanagan and Interior regions while supporting our commercial business development efforts.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with 3-5 years of experience practicing real estate law or equivalent business development experience in title insurance, mortgage lending, or legal products. Real estate lawyers and/or Sr. Conveyancers are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Identify residential title insurance opportunities and increase market share and revenue
  • Collaborate with the commercial business development team to support their efforts and initiatives
  • Support the use of title insurance by residential real estate lawyers and notaries, lending institutions, borrowers, and builders/developers
  • Manage day-to-day needs of a valuable client base, including responding to client inquiries and file matters
  • Identify regionally specific opportunities for new coverage and services
  • Create and manage specified sales targets and goals
  • Become a subject matter expert and champion for new Stewart products
  • Solicit opportunities to participate on industry-related boards, where requested
  • Attend industry trade shows and conferences, as required
  • Provide market review, analysis, and feedback
  • Assist with out-of-region events and peer functions
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience practicing real estate law in private practice or equivalent business development experience in either title insurance, mortgage lending, insurance, or legal products
  • Ability to be licensed with the Insurance Counsel of BC (criminal record search required)
  • Knowledge of Residential real estate law
  • Knowledge of Commercial real estate law is an asset
  • Maintaining membership in good standing with a law society, if applicable
  • Valid and in good standing driver's license
  • Willing to travel for various amounts of time
  • Ability to work from home or in the field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and scheduling skills
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to troubleshoot
  • Professional sales approach and the ability to build relationships
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 annually, depending on various metrics including experience, education, skills, etc.
