Director of Advancement

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Advancement to join our team at Simon Fraser University. As a key member of our Advancement and Alumni Engagement team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to secure major gifts and sponsorships for the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in fundraising, with a strong ability to build relationships with donors, alumni, and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for leading a team of staff and volunteers to achieve fundraising goals, and for developing and implementing effective communication and stewardship strategies to engage and retain donors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to secure major gifts and sponsorships for the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, alumni, and other stakeholders to secure support for the Faculty.
- Lead a team of staff and volunteers to achieve fundraising goals.
- Develop and implement effective communication and stewardship strategies to engage and retain donors.
- Collaborate with the Dean, Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology, and other stakeholders to achieve fundraising goals.
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience. You will have at least six years of related fundraising experience, with a proven track record of success in major gifts fundraising, strategic planning, project management, and donor relations.
You will have excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also have a strong ability to identify and successfully solicit prospects and volunteers for fundraising or service activities.
