Senior Director, Advancement, Pan-University Initiatives

The Senior Director, Advancement, Pan-University Initiatives, leads the strategic development of Simon Fraser University's principal and major gift fundraising program, including the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship for Pan-University Initiatives. In alignment with the University's and AAE's values and goals, the Senior Director provides leadership to realize the fundraising goals of priority projects at the major and transformational gift level. The Senior Director establishes strategic plans to secure and close integrated complex gifts to benefit the University.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic fundraising plans to secure major and transformational gifts.
- Lead the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of Pan-University Initiatives.
- Collaborate with University stakeholders to advance fundraising goals and objectives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Arts or Business Administration and eight years of related experience in developing strategic fundraising and cultivation strategies and leading dynamic, effective and sustainable advancement programs, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The candidate will also have excellent knowledge of development programs including major gift, patron, individual direct response, legacy, corporate, foundation and special events, as well as demonstrated success in closing gifts of $1 million or greater in a complex organizational environment. Excellent coaching, mentorship and team building skills are also essential.
