Director of Advancement

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Advancement to join our team at Simon Fraser University. As a key member of our Advancement and Alumni Engagement team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to secure major gifts and sponsorships for the Faculty.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in fundraising, with a strong ability to build relationships with donors, alumni, and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of fundraising professionals, and will work closely with the Executive Director and other senior leaders to achieve our fundraising goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic plans for major gifts and sponsorships
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, alumni, and other stakeholders
- Lead and manage a team of fundraising professionals
- Work closely with the Executive Director and other senior leaders to achieve fundraising goals
- Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities
- Bachelor's degree or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience
- At least 6 years of related fundraising experience
- Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
