Cultural Heritage Specialist / Lead

Egis, a leading environmental engineering company, is seeking a highly skilled Cultural Heritage Specialist/Lead to join its North American team. With a focus on technical excellence, ambition, and sustainability, this role offers an unparalleled opportunity for growth and development in the field of cultural heritage conservation.

As a Cultural Heritage Specialist/Lead, you will be responsible for expanding Egis' Environmental Division into Cultural Heritage by hiring key personnel, acquiring new clients, and pursuing potential opportunities. You will independently prepare and finalize cultural heritage reports, bid on projects, manage client relationships, and collaborate with other departments to promote and educate about Cultural Heritage services.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree/diploma in heritage planning, heritage conservation, or a related discipline, with 5-10 years of demonstrated cultural heritage experience. They will also have membership with the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP) and qualifications as a cultural heritage professional defined by the Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism (MCM). Proven experience writing winning proposals and executing on those projects is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expansion of the Cultural Heritage group through key hires, new clients, and opportunities
  • Preparation and finalization of cultural heritage reports
  • Bidding, proposal preparation, invoicing, and project management of cultural heritage
  • Client management and business development
  • Representation at relevant industry events
  • Collaboration with other departments to promote and educate about Cultural Heritage services

Salary Estimate: $85,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. This estimate is based on industry standards and location factors.
